Washington’s Paid Family Medical Leave – what’s in it for you?
February 20, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Everyone needs to take time off to care for themselves or a close family member at some point, and last year the state enacted the Paid Family Medical Leave plan for just such occurrences. Come hear about the new PFML, how it works, what it’s for, and how it relates to FMLA. Learn what Employees have to do to apply for it, what the Employers have to do to administer this new benefit, how insurances are affected, and how insurance brokers play a part. Included will be a bonus preview of the new long term care plan that was recently signed into law.
Speakers: Curt Lightle, Principal & Broker of Radwick & Lightle. Curt has been in the insurance and financial services business since 2000. As the Principal, his duties include oversight of the employee benefits division and personal planning. A graduate of the University of Washington and lifelong Puget Sound resident, Curt is married with two children and enjoys backpacking, camping and spending time with his family.
