Safety Consultants – Our Secret Weapon for Protecting our People
May 19, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
On any given day, there are countless hazards and accidents waiting to happen on the typical construction site. Over a lifetime career, a construction worker has a 75% chance of getting a disabling injury due to safety & health hazards.
Safety incidents could potentially affect the health & safety of your people, cause budget overages, construction delays, fines, liability, as well as reduced productivity, all which costs money and leads to increased liability risk. Safety at the workplace needs to be a top concern for construction site managers, and leaders should do all they can to ensure that potential safety hazards are reduced or eliminated.
Even with a step-by-step plan, issues arise. Many firms are not even aware of the most common safety risks. Which is why we have Clarence Atchison, a Safety Consultant and Trainer, joining SDA to talk about his Safety Training And Risk Reduction (S T A R R) program.
Clarence will cover a lot of ground in this conversation, including:
- Maintain a “zero-tolerance” philosophy for unsafe practices
- Showing your employees, you value them by encouraging a safe work place
- Risk management, safety & accident prevention plans, and safety audits
- Incident management & processes
- Training (compliance, programs and policies)
- New Approaches to improve safety & helping you find additional ways to improve project outcomes and increase productivity.
Everyone is welcome to attend – we hope to see you there!
No-shows and cancelations after May 12 will not be refunded. Registration for this business practice webinar closes at noon (PST) on May 18. This is a free, educational event for SDA members. Non-members pay a nominal fee to attend.
