When “Beer:30” is Boring: Breaking out of your Office Social Event Rut
March 26, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Are you tired of planning and attending the same old office social events? Does “cake in the conference room” only bring in the same seven sugar fiends? Join us for an interactive virtual roundtable to hear what other firms are doing to build camaraderie, recognize staff members, and celebrate together. We’ll kick around ideas for events all along the time and effort spectrum, so everyone is bound to hear about something that might just work for their office.
We’re changing things up a bit this month. Instead of our third Thursday business practice dinner, we’re switching to a noon-time roundtable. And guess who is facilitating? Chapter members Gretchen and Emily (we affectionately call them”GrEmily” when they co-present for us)! They work at Bernardo|Wills Architects in Spokane.
Gretchen Renz, CDFA is a strong planner and organizer, and provides value to our team by breaking large projects into manageable steps and developing solutions and timelines for successful completion. An astute administrator, she is adept at managing competing demands and changing her methods and approach as each situation requires.
Emily Moline Meyer, CDFA is enthused to see projects transition from ideas into plans and then into extraordinary, functional structures. She enjoys BWA’s collaborative environment and the opportunity to play a role in the firm’s and clients’ success. A born multi-tasker, Emily juggles multiple assignments with skill and precision. She views her main priorities as providing the support necessary to make other staff members’ jobs easier and assisting clients with their needs.
This is a free event for SDA members. Non-members are welcome to attend (one low price for log-in on one device). Feel free to invite others in your office to this roundtable.
Registration closes 7:00 AM (Pacific) on March 26. No-shows and cancellations after 6:00 PM (Pacific) on March 20 will not be refunded.
CEUs for this event are pending, provided by the Seattle chapter.
