Better Business Book Club – Quarter 2

Thank you to everyone who read last quarter’s book and joined our virtual roundtable.  We learned some valuable lessons from the book, the discussion, (and the technology) and are ready to tackle our next title.

For those of you who are new to SDA Seattle, we’ve created the Better Business Book Club to provide opportunities for peer to peer interaction, professional development, and even a little fun. Each quarter, we read a business book selected from those suggested by our members. Then we meet (virtually or in-person) over lunch in a facilitated round-table format to discuss what we’ve read and how to apply it to our professional lives. Not only do we benefit from the content, but we build and reinforce our SDA relationships.

This quarter we’re reading and discussing “You Are the Team: 6 Simple Ways Teammates Can Go From Good to Great,” by Michael Rogers.  The book will help us discover what type of teammates we are, and then learn how to bring a specialness to our teams by being selfless, trustworthy, humble, positive, respectful, and great.

We’ll meet virtually on June 12 to discuss (details to follow). Other than the cost of the book – buy it here, or hit the library for a zero dollar option – there is no cost to participate and attendees will earn one CEU.
