AIA Contract Provisions That Can Keep You Out of Hot Water
March 17, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
We’re pleased to have Sommer Clement present this business practice dinner for us. She is very familiar with AIA contract language as it applies to A/E/C firms. Randy Hart, AIA, will join Sommer. Nothing beats a lawyer and an architect discussing what they do best, contractually speaking that is.
Here’s what will be covered:
- Additional Insured Provisions
- Defense, Hold Harmless, and Indemnity
- Intellectual Property and Drawing Ownership
- Warranties and Standards of Care
- Incorporation of the Prime Contract
- Independent Duty Doctrine and its Impact on Design Claims
- Other words and clauses to be aware of in contracts
