So you have a retention policy. Now what?

June 21, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Whether you work within a large firm or a very small one, it’s likely you’re struggling with large amounts of information produced daily across your organization. Enter the Retention Policy! A well written policy is more than just a schedule for destroying stuff. Find out how to use your existing policy as part of an overall information management strategy, implementation pitfalls to avoid, and what to consider when updating or revising your policy. Bonus: bring a copy of your retention policy and get a free implementation tip!

Presenter: Catherine Blake, Archives Manager at CallisonRTKL

Fifteen years ago I launched my career as an archivist seeking a way to combine my education in design and architectural history with my fascination with information management. I got my start as a records manager for a General Contractor before moving on to my current position at CallisonRTKL, an international design firm of 1,500 employees.

No-shows and cancellations after 12:00 PM (PST) on June 12 will not be refunded. If you are outside of the greater Seattle, Bellevue, or Tacoma metropolitan area, we have a virtual attendance option for you.

Arrive: 5:30 PM. Welcome/announcements/dinner: 6:00 PM. Speaker’s presentation: 6:30 PM.
