MS Excel Presentation and Board of Directors’ Installation

May 18, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

May 18 is our chapter’s Board of Directors’ Installation ceremony, but first, we’re holding an educational session you might be interested in.

We asked Jeremy Roberts (he’s a Database Administrator and the Document Control Specialist at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff) to do a session for us, something in Excel. He said that about five years ago, he noticed an opportunity to improve on how his office used project financial data. Utilizing Excel’s SUMIFS function, he bridged the gap between the weekly, raw Staff Project Billing data and useful, dynamic information.  His efforts were standardized and the report is now generated directly from a database.  Join us for Jeremy’s presentation, “Organizing Project Finance Data with Efficacy: A Practical Application of Excel’s SUMIFS Function.” He’ll demonstrate how you too can bridge the gap between raw financial data and useful overview reports.

After Jeremy’s presentation, we get down to business and Tom Marseille, Senior Vice President of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff will install the 2017-2018 Seattle Chapter Board of Directors.

Dinner is included this evening (menu will be posted on the registration page). SDA members attend for free, and non-members only have to pay $20.

No-shows and cancellations after 12:00pm (PST) on May 11 will not be refunded.

SDA members: Please be sure to register even though there’s no cost for you to attend. We need a headcount to make sure we have enough food and beverages.

(By the way, the name of the firm that is hosting this event is changing, in early May, from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff to WSP. Just thought we should put that out there, as we’re posting this event before their name has officially changed.)
